- Milford, because icons are icons for reasons: the approach road alone (the Chasm, the Homer Tunnel, the kea) would justify the day, and rain improves it: hundreds of temporary waterfalls turn the cliffs into plumbing.
- Doubtful, because the moment the skipper cuts the engines in Hall Arm and the sandflies are the loudest sound in a drowned valley is the single most repeated memory guests bring back from Fiordland.
