UK passport holders can visit up to six months, the most generous window of any market. Request the NZeTA online before flying; with the visitor levy it comes to about NZ$120 (roughly £55) per person.
Drive on the left, like home
Your UK licence is valid for your whole holiday, and New Zealand drives on the left. Of all our visitors, the British adjust to the roads fastest, usually by the end of the airport car park.

Seasons are exactly reversed: a January escape lands in high summer with daylight past 9pm. Christmas on a beach is not a novelty postcard here, it is just December.
