New Zealand tour packages from Singapore
New Zealand is close enough for a school holiday and different enough to feel like the far end of the earth: four real seasons, roads with nobody on them, and snow a ten hour flight from Changi. This page has what planning from Singapore actually needs: the nonstop flights to Auckland and Christchurch, how the MOE school breaks line up with our seasons, when the snow is really there in June, and itineraries with accommodation, transport and activities arranged before you land. Prices show in Singapore dollars, quotes are free, and a real person in New Zealand does the planning.
More than 60,000 visitors from Singapore came to New Zealand in 2025.
Up from about 56,000 the year before (Stats NZ, visitor arrivals by country of residence). December is the busiest month by a distance, and November and December together bring more than a third of the year’s visitors: the year-end school holidays, on the move.
About 10 hours nonstop
Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand fly nonstop to Auckland every day, and both fly to Christchurch in the South Island. Most flights leave in the evening or around midnight, so you sleep south and land the next day.
No visa, just the NZeTA
Singapore passport holders can visit for up to 3 months without a visa. Request the NZeTA before you fly: NZ$17 on the official app or NZ$23 online, plus the NZ$100 visitor levy, paid together.
Seasons are reversed
The June holidays land in the New Zealand winter and the year-end break in early summer. Snow on the mountains in June, light until after 9pm in December.
Drive on the left, like home
New Zealand drives on the left, and a Singapore licence is in English, so it is valid here for your holiday with no translation. The difference is the roads: two lanes, winding, and far longer between towns than any map of Singapore prepares you for.
Bring a plug adaptor
New Zealand uses the angled flat-pin plug shared with Australia, not the three square pins used at home. The voltage is the same 230 volts, so a simple adaptor is all you need.

Nonstop flights from Singapore to New Zealand
Changi has nonstops to both of New Zealand’s main gateways. Auckland is the everyday route, with Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand both flying daily, and Christchurch puts the Southern Alps one flight from home. Flying into one and out of the other is the easiest way to see both islands without backtracking.
| From | To | Airlines | Flights | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore (SIN) | Auckland | Singapore Airlines | 2 per day | ~9h 30m to 10h |
| Singapore (SIN) | Auckland | Air New Zealand | Daily, with extra flights late Oct to Mar | ~10h |
| Singapore (SIN) | Christchurch | Singapore Airlines | 10 to 12 per week, late Oct to Mar | ~10h |
| Singapore (SIN) | Christchurch | Air New Zealand | 3 per week, 28 Oct 2026 to 26 Mar 2027 | 9h 55m |
Frequencies are the airlines’ published plans for the 2026/27 season (late October to late March) and move with the seasons, so check the airline for your dates. Flights home to Singapore take a little longer than flights south. New Zealand is 4 hours ahead of Singapore in our winter and 5 hours ahead while daylight saving runs, late September to early April. Queenstown and Wellington are a short domestic connection from either gateway. Checked September 2026.
When should Singaporeans visit New Zealand?
Your long school breaks fall in the New Zealand winter and early summer, and the best timing hides in the gap between your school calendar and ours. Both of your big holidays start weeks before New Zealand schools break up, which is worth knowing when you book.
Year-end holidays, before our rush
The MOE year-end break starts around 20 November, but New Zealand schools do not finish until about 18 December. Those first four weeks are early summer with long evenings, lupins in the Mackenzie and room at the lodges. Queenstown averages 20°C by day and 9°C at night in December, so pack a jacket.
NZ summer peak
Warmest weather, longest days, and New Zealand’s own six week summer holiday, which runs to late January. The best rooms and campervans book out first, so for Christmas and New Year travel, plan 6 to 12 months ahead.
Autumn, and the March break
The one week March holidays (13 to 21 March in 2027) land in early autumn: settled weather, vineyards in harvest, Central Otago turning gold, and New Zealand children still in class. A week suits one island, most easily the South Island from Christchurch.
Snow season, in the June holidays
The Queenstown and Wanaka ski fields usually open in the second week of June, so the second half of the June holidays is the reliable snow window. New Zealand’s own winter school holidays start in July, after Singapore’s break ends, which keeps late June quieter on the slopes. Queenstown sits around 9°C by day and freezing at night.
